In a statement Sir Ranulph said, “The TRIP Group represents a forward thinking, practical and effective approach to travel risk management.” Coming from a man who has worked in some of the most challenging environments on earth, this is high praise indeed, says a spokesperson from th group.

The TRIP Group has the express aim of seeking realistic and practical solutions to the challenges faced by modern travellers. Its primary objective is working together with partners to keep travellers safe. The TRIP Group has created an impressive travel risk management community with over 200 member organisations across a wide variety of industry sectors, including corporations, NGOs, higher education, government departments and companies within the travel and tourism industry.

Chairman of the TRIP Group, Lloyd Figgins, described the excitement felt by TRIP members about Sir Ranulph Fiennes becoming their patron: “Having someone so internationally renowned for his exposure to travel risk as our patron has been a major boost. Sir Ranulph has been an exceptionally popular choice among our membership and we are very proud to have him on the team.”

Managing Director, Christine Shacklady, went on to say: “His incredible achievements speak for themselves, so we’re delighted that he will be sharing some of these experiences with our members at our flagship event in December. It will also give members the opportunity to meet Sir Ranulph in person.”

This development follows on from the recent news regarding the TRIP Group’s partnership with Collinson, a global leader in the provision of medical, security and travel risk management services, to offer best practice and promote learning among employers and help organisations fulfil their duty of care to travelling employees by keeping them safe and well.
