Karen Collins, MA DEM, BTech, BA, is Manager of Health, Safety and Emergency Management at Douglas College, British Colombia, Canada. She graduated with a BA in Archaeology and Criminology, a Bachelor of Technology and an MA in Disaster and Emergency Management. Karen is an Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP). She joined the New Westminster Police Department in 1996 and worked as a forensic identification specialist. Karen left policing in 2004 to join the BC Coroners’ Service.
