Take part in a survey on managing security risks in humanitarian operations 

The European Interagency Security Forum (EISF) has launched a survey as part of its new research project, Partnerships and Security Risk Management: from the local organisation’s perspective. “We would like to hear the perspectives of as many staff of local and national organisations as possible,” says a spokesperson.



EISF is an NGO network for security focal points and is a global centre of excellence for humanitarian security risk management. The forum currently represents over 100 aid agencies operating internationally.

The aim of the study is to explore and present, in accordance with the needs identified by local and national organisations, the most effective ways for international aid organisationsto engage in security discussions, co-ordination, arrangements and capacity building to effectively support local and national partner organisation’s capacity to identify and manage security risks.

The EISF would like to hear the perspectives of as many staff of local and national organisations as possible, in order to gain a comprehensive overview of the current challenges. It aims to gain a sample of respondents working in organisations of various sizes and mandates, and holding various positions and responsibilities. The forum is therefore asking for support in helping it to disseminate the survey, as it constitutes a key step that will inform the further design of the research and selection of case studies. It is encouraging readers to relay the survey to connections working in INGOs, who may disseminate it further.
