Rania Khbais
Rania Khbais is the course leader of the MSc Aviation Security and senior lecturer in aviation security at Buckinghamshire New University. She had an extensive career in the private sector and civil aviation in the Middle East, dating back to 1998. Her experience encompasses operational and regulatory roles, including involvement in major projects such as the expansion of Dubai International Airport and the development of Al Maktoum International Airport.
In 2007, she specialised in aviation security, becoming the first Arab female ICAO aviation security professional manager and international instructor. She served as a member of the ICAO Aviation Security Professional Manager Evaluation Panel in Dubai until relocating to the UK in 2014. She is affiliated with the Higher Education Academy and the Royal Aeronautical Society.
