Andrew Staniforth

Andrew Staniforth is Director of Innovation at Saher Europe, a global security research and training consultancy, and is a Member of CRJ's Advisory Panel.

He has extensive operational expertise in counter-terrorism gained as a Special Branch intelligence officer and counter-terrorism police detective and has supported missions of the UN Terrorism Prevention Branch.

Andrew has designed international multi-agency security exercise programmes and has delivered counter-terrorism training to Senior Police Commanders from across the world. As a Senior Research Fellow and Visiting Lecturer he has held academic positions at leading research institutes and is the author, co-author, editor and co-editor of 12 books, including a series of practitioner handbooks covering counter-terrorism, cybercrime and ports and border security.

Andrew sits on numerous international research Advisory Boards and is an Expert Evaluator for the European Commission.
