CRJ mourns James Lodge
We are saddened to share the news of the passing of James Lodge, a valued contributor to the CRJ community, a dedicated leader in the fields of business continuity, resilience, and disaster recovery, and a dear friend.

James has been a thorough expert and friend to CRJ since 2023. He shared his knowledge by tackling some of the most pressing topics facing our field, including disinformation, mass migration, global elections, aviation security, and the evolving nature of protest and crime. His insightful commentary and thought leadership helped shape the conversation around resilience in an ever-changing world.

He always had incredible ideas to share and thoughtful guidance on the themes we hoped to explore. James was someone who kept moving forward and made sure others weren’t left behind.

In his 25 years of experience, his work had a meaningful effect on several sectors relating to resilience and business continuity. James implemented global continuity and integration solutions, handled crisis situations, and pioneered technology enhancement programmes. He held numerous certifications, including ISEB, AMBCI, PRINCE2, ITIL, and MoR, and complemented this technical expertise with academic study at master’s level. Always strategic in his approach, James was known for his collaborative spirit and ability to engage stakeholders across every level.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, James was a thoughtful and generous friend whose work left a lasting effect.
He will be greatly missed.
